4209  This document provides an overview of digital twin use cases in the area of production and logistics. Starting with relevant definitions for a digital twin and its relation to digital shadow/thread, the main components of a digital twin are presented. Based on this, an overview of digital twin use cases within production and logistics is given. Afterwards an exemplary implementation of a digital twin for a mill center is presented. The paper closes with a summary and outlook on future developments.
