This publication celebrates and analyses the legacy of the report “The North-South: A Programme for Survival”, also known as “Brandt Report”, 40 years after its release. “Populism and a New Age of Fragility” links the topics addressed by the Brandt Report to contemporary problems such as the populist challenge to policy making. Specifically, the publication looks at the policy consequences of populism in core fields of the Brandt report: peace and conflict, migration, and development. The result is a diverse range of articles showing the continued relevance of the Brandt Report, as well as the specific challenges and potential solutions of international cooperation in an age of populism.
