AB A detailed investigation of the capability of fiber amplifier based optical parametric chirped pulse amplification systems (OPCPA) for the generation of high-energy ultrashort pulses is provided by this thesis. Additionally, the required pulse parameters for high-harmonic generation are investigated in order to evaluate possible applications of the OPCPA system, e.g. lensless imaging.
