The Exercises on Techniques in Invertebrate Morphology aim at providing you with a basic knowledge and experience in basic as well as advanced techniques in modern zoomorphology with a focus on techniques use in invertebrate research. in addition, you will be trained in presentational skills, i.e. formal and aestetic aspects of presenting your research for publications, posters and talks. In total, 10 exercises will be held, of which 4 will be group exercises, while 6 will be team exercises. The teams G1 thru G4 will rotate through the 6 team topics in the period between April 17 and June 29. Each exercise might vary in length, however, a total of 42 h (3SWS) will not be exceeded. We expect every team to create a poster until the end of the course. All posters will be presented in a mini poster session (like in a congress) at the last day of the course (July18) after the excercises on ImageJ II. Eventually a poster prize will be given (just like in a real congress ...). |

A poster session will be organized on July 9 in order to display the results of your poster workshop. A prize will be given to the group who receives the most votes from the total institute staff.

In some cases it will be necessary to prepare the exercises in advance by reading a paper or manual or something alike. Please check well in advance in order to make sure, you get the maximum out of the exercises. |
